2026.09 - Last month I mostly listened to...

First up, sorry for the silence! Everythings been overwhelming and I didn’t feel like writing or analysing anything in a hurry, so I just dropped it as an future me problem. The ones I would’ve recommended are on the top of my list and *down below, so you’re good there.

Also, RIP Cronos, none of that Buried Alive stuff anymore for you mate. Sleep tight.

I recently got to see Alejandro Iñárritu’s new movie Digger and I was quite impressed. The movie was very disturbing, but also funny with astonishingly dark humour and it was kind of scary too. They did ask viewers to not drop any kind of spoilers, so I am not saying anything more. Just that you should go see it!

Last month was once again chock full of new music, I listened to hundreds of releases, I think the promos alone were 80+, but I’m happy to report my net caught some great nuggets once more. So here we go!

The interesting albums during last month’s 1001 Albums project were, in order of personal preference: Pixies (Doolittle), Megadeth (Peace Sells...But Who's Buying), Incredible Bongo Band (Bongo Rock), Love (Forever Changes).

A track from each relevant Top 10 artist can be found from this playlist (sort by 'date added' if applicable): http://dy.fi/iio
(behind the short url above are links to the same playlist in Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, and finally Soundiiz which you can use to transfer the playlist to your chosen platform).

Once again, don’t forget to check Doom Charts, we had to drop our votes super early (as next month the first friday is on the 2nd). *For that one my top five nominees were new albums by Kongh, Sub Ruinam, Green Lung, Ponddigger and Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats.
