Recommendations for 16.10.2026: Vibravoid, Kanaan, Humulus

First up, don’t forget to check out Doom Charts Peroration post for September, in which my contibution was a blurb for Sub Ruinam.
But now, my mid-month check them out recommendations!

Last month I missed the release of the new Vibravoid album A Reason For Now, so I’ve been listening to it now quite a bit. It’s not the best they’ve ever done, but it has a nice 60’s garage with space rock vibe, I found it a very plesing listen to say the least.

Just today Norway’s Kanaan put out their latest, which is self titled; which if I’m honest is a bit weird seeing they’ve been releasing music for ten years now, but what do I know 🤷‍♂️
Anyway! It’s only 4 tracks, about 45 minutes of music, with the last track running for over 20 minutes. If you know Kanaan, it’s more or less what you’d expect, although I felt the start was a tad light, but it started picking up weight towards the end. Well worth a listen.

Finally a new-ish encounter called Humulus from Italy, who play heavy psych with tinges of stoner rock. They released an album called Smuggler's Cave on 9.10.2026, which I can also safely recommend.

So there you go!
Cheerio, until new month!
